SAN Antonio ZIP code

I am considering in investing in 2 parts of RSD. The two zip codes in San Antonio are:

78255

78299

I was able to find demographic information on 78255 on hometownlocator.com, but they are saying the 78299 zip code is too small and they keep on directing me at 78205. Is this ok to expand my research to 78205?

**Please note that I'm choosing the 78299 zip code to research because I want to invest in a property in a particular submarket NEXT TO A PARTICULAR SCHOOL.

Thank you,

JM

So Jason, it sounds like you used to live here in SATX.  With that being said, you know that Tobin Hill, the Pearl District, and Olmos Park are all in 78212.  All are radically different.  A zipcode does not a good demographic measure make.  You want boots on the ground, ideally your own if you are investing in an area.  Second best would be a professional investor or investor-friendly realtor.  A distant third would be friends or family with no RE experience.

Good luck, let me know if I can help!

Chuck
