distressed properties
I have located a lot of distressed properties in MA. All of them are vacant and I have managed to locate the addresses of some of the owners. My question is, for a newbie investor like myself is this a good start in RE investing ? I want to wholesale deals that other wholesalers seemingly have not touched to avoid competition. I heard from other investors that it can be hard to find these owners but I have been having some success finding their alternative addresses. My other question is, do you think a lot of cash buyers will be interested in properties that have been vacant for over a year if they are at least 30 or 40 percent below market value?

Hi Sherri,
We do short sales and are not best to advise you in wholesaling, but what you are proposing sounds good to me! As far as locating absentee owners....if you work hard, you should be rewarded. Good job, so far in avoiding the easy ones that every other investor goes for!
Why don't you post these questions in the Wholesaling Forum? I'm sure that you can get the answers that will help guide you in your plan.
