I think it's difficult to tell where we are right now in the economy overall. We've seen the DOW Jones index hit new highs and overall, the market looks strong. But has the market peaked? Has it peaked in the Real estate market? Is now the time to buy or the time to wait! What can we expect next?

We are definitely in a sellers market right now. Well let me be precise because I only have experiences with Illinois and Indiana.

    @Spencer Herrick, forget the various indexes. All real estate is LOCAL, and negotiable. Just look for the (real) BARGAINS in whatever area you choose, and don't over-commit. All the best...
