Tax sale purchased homes

Just wanted to touch base and see if there is anyone here that buys tax deed homes . We have purchased 3 so far in the last 10 years and so far it's worked fairly well the first one we purchased was a 4 bedroom that sold for 590.00 then the other a 3 bedroom that sold for 960.00 and the last one We purchased this past year sold for 540 we haven't made it past the one year wait period yet march the 15 th we will do the title search the the notice to the owner so hopefully we will lock this one down as well. But my question was is there a better way to getting a clear deed other than the quick clam deed process I done it that way on the first two .
