Buying in Columbus, Ohio
I'm new to Bigger Pockets and am looking to buy one, or possibly two, investment properties this summer in Columbus, Ohio where I live. We'll likely have $80k-ish cash to work with after the sale of a property where we used to live. Any experienced investors in Columbus have advice on where to look in the area for good cash flow and rate of return? We live in Clintonville and I'm biased toward walkable neighborhoods, living or investing, but open to anything that makes for a good investment. Willing to do a little rehab, but don't have time for a lot. Thanks.
Joel

Hey Joel! Welcome. Clintonville doubles are around $250-$350k right now and you aren't getting that great of cash flow. Actually, the contrary. Most are going to owner occupants that are living in one side and renting out the others. We have a lot of deals in Old north columbus which is between North Campus (ohio state university) and clintonville. You can still find some great opportunities in old north off market. Would love to meet to discuss some of the opportunities in the area. Are you looking straight investment (20-25% down?) or are you owner occupying a property?
