I'm going to try to make this a quick story.  I was given a property because the individual just couldn't pay the taxes and was about to get sued by the city to have the home demolished.   After doing a quick title search, I could see how he obtain the property from his grandmother (after his mom passed away and gave it to her).  After I shook on the deal and had a quit claim deed signed over to me, I came to the brilliant idea to have title insurance on it.  They discovered back in 1986 his parents took out a land contract for $9,000 on the property.  Within a few months they made a payment of $2,000 and then...nothing.  I don't know where they are or how to track the land contract owners to sign a Warranty Deed.  Is there a way to "quiet the title?"  What are the options to get this removed?
