escrow process
Hey guys I'm in the process of buying my first house. I inherited a piece of property when my grandpa passed away and I received 50% interest in the home. I drew up the paperwork that was required to buy the remaining 50% interest that my uncle owns. What are the next steps? The purchase price is 45,000 dollars. Am I able to write a check for the amount and have him sign over the property or do i need to go through some sort of escrow. I have the cash and don't need a loan. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
