Bleeding Violation Liens
Hi! Question for the BP superstars. Looking at a property in the city of Miami, an REO. There is a lien on the property against the former owner (prior to the foreclosure) which is from another property he owns and has open permits, violations from 6 years ago. If I go ahead with the purchase I am stuck with this lien and can't correct it as its based on another property I have no access to etc. I spoke with the city and they said, post purchase (meaning if I buy it) I can request a special consideration to remove the lien as I have no connection to it BUT there is no guarantee. Any experience with this? Ideas? Thoughts? Prayers? Thanks! (This is in the City of Miami and is a City of Miami Code Violation/Lien)
