How to obtain access to MLS if I have my license

Hello everyone on bigger pockets, I passed my real estate exam a month or two ago an now I'm trying to put the license to use but I've have this question for awhile now and I can't seem to find an answer. How do I get access to the MLS do I need to be "sponsored" by a broker? And if so what does this mean? Also if I don't need to be sponsored could someone point me into the right direction in which I'll be able to gain access to the MLS. Any insight would be great Bobby chaiton
