First Charleston area Renovation

After moving last year from North Carolina where we did some real estate investing, we finally finished and closed on our first Charleston area renovation.  Goose Creek to be exact.

Attached are some of the before and afters.  We are starting small and see this is a great area to partner with contractors, lenders and other professionals to add value to local communities.

We are fairly new to the area, but my wife is a great real estate agent, so we were able to negotiate a pretty decent deal for what we believe is a value added home.  But I will say, whatever could go wrong, did go wrong on this property.  You name it - HVAC, floors, windows, full electric, new bath, new kitchen, new walls.  It was the best training we could have gotten.

What are some of the areas you all have had issues with in Berkeley County or Charleston area in general?

New to Bigger Pockets so we look forward to meeting some local and not so local folks.

Thanks,

Mike
