Signed Exclusive Buyers Agency

Hi. I have been in real estate for about 1.5 years now. I am currently on a team as a buyers agent and have been since January. I am taking all the necessary step of getting buyers appt., preaproval letter and then exclusive agency signed. I have had a fair amount of successful closing and happy relationships with my buyers. But I do have a few clients that will go through all 3 steps and then I will show them houses, send them listings and even prospect but yet they  go silent and disappear. Is this just part of the business? At what point do I stop wasting energy on them and move on? Does anybody know percentages of clients that disappear vs actually buy? I just want to make sure that if I need to change something I do or maybe it's not me. I feel like these particular clients are the type that are not first time home buyers and just do all the steps so you set them up to receive listings and drive them to the homes that particular day. Any suggestions or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
