Today I was talking to the finish carpenter on our San Clemente house, and we were discussing it's location, view, etc. as being perfect for a vacation rental. He said he had another client that had a vacation rental in Laguna Beach and it rents for $17,000 PER WEEK!! WOW!!

I've been told our house would rent for around $6000 per week and I thought that was a lot, but $17k?

Do you own Vacation Rental properties? Maybe you can chime in by answering questions, or telling us of your experiences.

1.  Where is your property located?

2. What do you charge for a week?

3. How many weeks do you rent out your property per year?

4.  Do you spend time at your rental or strictly use it for income?

Also, for all of you interested in Vacation Rentals, BP is starting a forum soon dedicated to Vacation Rentals. Not sure of the timing yet, as @Scott Trench hasn't finalized it yet, but set your keyword alerts to Vacation Rental and watch for it!
