Long Distance Investing - Walk through

Dustin Brubaker
Posted

I am trying to look at a property by doing a virtual showing / FaceTime agent walk through from across the state. What key things should I try to get them to show me during the walk through? The normal:  Electrical Panel, heating & air, kitchen, bathroom, ceiling stains, etc?
How can I be assured they will not skip over something on purpose?

Get a home inspection with a reputable company for verification. A walkthrough will show obvious issues, but a good home inspector will spend hours at the property to look at everything (especially areas not easily visible, like the crawl space and roof).
