STR in Killington, VT

Hi all. Considering purchasing a 3 bedroom/ 2 bath condo for STR/ Airbnb in Killington, VT. Location is good- right at the base of the mountain. Has anyone had success with this? With the new Killington village coming, I thought we could get in at a good time. However, the new village in the heart of the mountain is coming with new lodging. Would love thoughts on this potential investment.

Hi Jacklyn, I'm a VT realtor (though I focus on northern VT), and also on the board of the VT short-term rental alliance (VTSTRA). Killington does a great job managing and working with STR owners and it's one of the places I always recommend my investor clients check out because of the STR-friendly regulations there. I think the new lodging will be great but the newest builds are very very expensive and I suspect will be purchased more for second homes than pure investments. Curious if you can share which community this property is part of? Specifically wondering if it is part of the East Mountain Road
