Looking to replace AC unit Ashland KY

Need help finding AC replacement for SFH in Ashland KY; entire unit needs to be replaced. Would love advice on getting a used uint to save on costs.

If it’s a combination heat/ac unit that runs on the older Freon and just the ac needs replacing. Try to find a small independent “guy” that can vacuum out the old Freon and replace just the outside unit and install the new Freon. 

My Vegas guy has me buy the unit directly from the wholesaler with a CC. A 3 - 3.5 ton unit costs me about $1500-$1800. And then removal, replacement, new Freon, installation and disposal run me about $2k. So I pay less than $4k for what my PM wants $8k for and  Lowe’s/Home Depot want $12-$15k. (They’re expensive because they swear you need to replace both units to use new Freon.)

Over the last 10 years I’ve had at least 8 units replaced this way saving $10’s of thousands and I’ve yet to have a single problem.
