Is a local development (230 homes) good or bad?

Hi,

I'm looking at a 2 bed close to a hospital and have discovered a upcoming development down the road (80% studios and 1 beds), whcih also has amenities. My thoughts are thatI'm obviously not the only one thinking this area has potential, but that the new supply may harm my chances of rental (although less beds), plus create disturbances during the construction works.

Interested to hear the wisdom on this.

Thanks, Alex
