Out-of-State Purchase Qustion

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum & investing.  Any suggestions for out-of-state investing?  How does the property tax work if I live in CA and want to purchase out of state?  Do we still get to write this off?  Is it important to visit the property even with Covid, etc.?
