I'm getting unsolicited sales phone calls from vendors on BP.

A couple days ago, I got an unsolicited sales call for a REI related product (that I incidentally have no use for) from a vendor with a profile here on BP. I never sign up for their newsletter or services or visited their website, etc. I also noticed that that same vendor had checked out my profile just a couple days before they called me.

Since then, I removed my phone number from my BP profile because I don't have time or inclination to field these types of calls.  I'm very particular about where I publish my contact info and I'm protective of my information. I'm also on the FTC's national "do not call" registry. So if I guess I could (and maybe will) report that vendor and they'd get in trouble with the FTC.  But really, wouldn't BP be a better place if we could trust that our personal info wouldn't be abused by other BP members?
