Pricing for tile installation along with floor leveling
Hello,
I need to install porcelain tiles in my house, however, the floor is not leveled. How much does it usually cost to install tile as well as level the floor? I have a guy who said he would install a tile and level the floor simultaneously, like marble installation, one tile at a time. He said $5 /sqft. Is that a regular price?
Please assist if you know the answer. Thanks a lot.

That doesn't sound horrible. Around here, I'll see $1400 for rip out, clean, and tiling then material costs. Which would end up around the same depending on your selection.
If it makes you uncomfortable, call another flooring guy. You don't really need referrals for a flooring installed. It's not brain surgery, it's just laying tile. Unless it's a million dollar home or a luxury build.
Just say in your contract, that everything needs to be square, grout has to be jointed, jobsite cleaned, and grout sealed.
Be thorough in your contract language, and if your gut says the guy is shady, move on.
Good luck!
