Contractor/handyman hire and traveling
Hello! I have a property in western NC that is quite literally in the middle of no where. Over half of the sub work I need there is either no one in that field or expertise or a company that isn’t licensed or insured.
From a contractor point of view what determines how far out a contractor will travel for work/quote?
From an investor standpoint, what do you do when the closest reputable company is 1+ hours away?
I am posting this hopefully to generate some discussion from both sides and my biggest issue here is finding someone. What would you do when you have a house that is so far from anything?
I have $0 in acquisition as it was my childhood home. It is in the heart of the smoky mountains and has huge potential for STR and possibly LTR.
Thank you!

From a contractor point of view , I will travel any distance to do a job . I just factor in windshield time , and all other travel expenses into the proposal . The other part to the question , now are you willing to pay the price ?
