What's going on BP family?! I am currently active-duty Marine Corps & I get out in 4 months. I’m working on getting my license to become an MLO. I'm just curious on the habits I need to develop, habits to stay away from, what's achievable in my first year, typical day in the life, & what steps I should be taking as of NOW to get ahead? Thank you so much!

To piggy back off of @John O'Leary, I love The Loan Officer Podcast. Helped me a lot in my first year. Getting the license is the easy part. Starting to get loans in the pipeline is really hard at first. I would network as much as possible. Not only with potential leads and agent partners, but with other people in the mortgage industry. I say this because you will need to find a really good coach or mentor to help you learn how to generate business. Once I found my mentor, my career started to take off!

Best of luck, and thank you for your service!
