What months are houses cheaper?

Im looking to buy in Lower Moreland township in PA. That area is usually min $400K and up but sometimes there are houses in the $300-$350K. Any idea how/when are the houses cheaper so I can get something on the $300s?

Last month.....price don't fluctuate that much typically over the year...like the cheaper ones sell in November and the expensive ones sell in July.   I think in the past there might have been some seasonal variation, more sales in the Spring and less in the Winter in your area.   Resort vacations probably get more sales "in season" vs "off season".   That's very general though.   Now it seems homes sell all year round.

Houses sell any time of year, but there are definitely slower times of the year. Late spring and early summer is usually busier because kids are out of school and there is better moving weather. December is usually the slowest month because of the holidays and weather. People are busy with their kids school events, shopping and getting ready for Christmas or getting ready for vacation before the new year. In addition, some parts of the country have snow, ice or cold weather which makes moving undesirable. My advice is keep looking and by November or December, you should be able to find a better deal.

@Jane Kai- Hi! I get this question a lot as an agent. It is typically slower from about November to February as mentioned above... however what I say to my clients and live by myself is that you can always find a good deal no matter what time of year it is. You just need to find it!!

Typically Nov-Feb are the slowest. BUT prices are up (here locally) 23% so most likely you won't be finding a house that is 30% discounted. There is a low inventory across the country with demand super high. Other people are going to be doing what you plan to do so I don't see the market slowing for discounts like that. This last Winter it was red hot and has been like that all year
