Getting Real Estate License while also working full time job
Hi, my business partner and myself both currently work full time jobs that put food on our tables and insurance etc. We have just started getting into rentals (3 single family homes). We are looking for some flips along with new construction, in the area we are at the houses around 130k go pretty fast. There are a ton of 50k homes available to flip but the profit margins are not great, especially when you consider the realtors cut. We make a lot of offers on houses and hate to bother realtors with all the offers when 99% of them get rejected. My question, is it worth it to get a realtors license if we both work full time? Will a broker usually be willing to take you in and let you do the things you want to do? I know brokers will get a cut also and that is ok. Can any realtors give me FYI about the cost involved in being a realtor.. fees, etc? and how much do realtors really hate to see guys like us making all these offers when 99% are a waste of their time? I will say that everyone we have worked with so far has been great but then again were just getting started on the BRRRR and flips.
