Questions about getting my REA license in IL

Hi Everyone,

I would like to get my license as a REA in IL and I couldn't find anyone to explain the process so I can understand it.

I understand that I need the 90 hour class and after that I have to pass the state exam.

After that some people say that I have to get be affiliate with a managing broker so I can get sponsored.

Here's what I don't understand: nobody can tell me how much this sponsorship would cost me. A company told me that they charge around $4K, and the highest one was around $20K.

Is this the process?

I hope someone can help me understand it better and the amount of money I need to spend as I want to work full time in RE.
