Washington State - Broker or Managing Broker?

good evening BP,

I'm looking at getting my real estate license in the state of Washington (for the second time) and am not sure whether to pursue the Broker or Managing Broker license. For now I'd be looking to use it just for research purposes, and will be looking to expand my use of the license in the next year or so (long story short)

With my education and career experience I could qualify for the Managing Broker license. I could see the usefulness in the future becoming a Designated broker at an office I open up with a partner.

Question is, will that affect me negatively in any way if I don't plan on "managing" a brokerage in the near term, likely still hanging my license @ a friendly shop for now?

Thanks in advance!
