Remove listing from MLS

Hi All Do you know how long it will take to remove a listing from MLS? My contract with this listing agent ended this past Feb 2016. Every time I asked for the keys back, he insisted that he has someone interested. So I let him do his job until today. I ended with him because he does not communicate with me unless I called to check and he kept on saying he has somebody. I got the keys back but it is still in MLS. What should I do next? I already told him to remove it. Thanks - Chi

Check your contract. Some have a clause that says if you sell it on your own for 6 - 12 months afterward, you still owe commission. I always strike that. You can also call his broker and complain. It can be removed immediately.
