My current cell phone # has an area code that is not local to where I am living/working.  I'm still waiting on my license to be processed by the state so I'm not active yet, but I'm wondering how much of an issue my area code might end up becoming.  What are your thoughts?

Get a local number - worst case use a free google voice number to route to your current number.
