Investor's Assistant Pay?

Nick Dominguez
Posted

Hi BP Community,

I recently started helping an old friend who is an up and coming investor in my area. Till now, I've been passive about my REI education, and am currently learning all I can about his business, the local market, and where I can fill gaps /add value. We have tabled the discussion of my compensation - I told him I wanted to wait till I was knowledgeable and productive enough to make meaningful contributions to his business.

My question for any investors/assistants out there is, How do you compensate your assistants? Do you have any performance metrics that would influence a commission? Flat rate?

Thanks in advance for any insights!
