First-Time Investor Moving to Pittsburgh

Jordan Romager
Posted

Hello everyone!

My partner and I have been living in Washington State for several years and love it, but we'd like to move to a place that's more affordable. We have been looking at Pittsburgh for quite some time due to the opportunity we see there. There is so much charm and the people seem so friendly!

We are looking to move in the next year and want to hit the ground running by investing in a duplex, triplex, or four-plex shortly after moving and using a house hacking strategy.

I would be super grateful for any tips about the Pittsburgh market -- up-and-coming neighborhoods, good real estate agents to connect with, etc. I would also just love to connect with folks we can be friends with because we love to build a strong community everywhere we go and I am sad to be leaving the one we have built here.

Thank you so much in advance!
