Multifamily investing Ohio or Indiana

Hello all!

Me and my husband are brand new to BP so we hope to gain personal experience and knowledge on multifamily investing. My husband is active duty Air Force right now and reside in Spain. He is in the process of transitioning out of the military in December of this year and our main goals from half of last year and all of this year is save as much money as we can to get our first house and to purchase a multifamily investment. We are in a debate on which state to reside in to start our journey to invest the next 10 years plus into buying and holding rental properties that cash flow and appreciate. Any advice or personal experience is much appreciated.
