Seeking Job Opportunity

Hello, my name is Alysha and I live in the Denver Metro area in Colorado. I am currently looking for a team to work with who specializes in buying and selling investment residential properties. I am eager to find a team who appreciates building investment portfolio and works with them in various ways. I am currently in the process of obtaining my real estate license and I am set to complete my exam by the end of April. 

If I'm being honest, I am truly interested in working with any real estate brokerage that specializes in investment residential, commercial or even property management. I am hoping to find a company to build my skills on and equally help a company build and expand on their goals as well. I plan to contact a handful of brokerages through the networking platform on BP, but does anyone have any advice on where to begin my search for companies to work for and how to narrow down my search. @Alysha Pederson A few things I would recommend to you as you get started in real estate:

1. Take your time in choosing a brokerage. There are a lot of them and they are all a little different in the way they train and mentor new agents. Set up a list of questions that are important to you and see how different brokerages answer them. 

2. When you do reach out, set up some calls or meetings with other agents or staff in the brokerage to see how they feel about working there.

3. You are interviewing them as much as they are interviewing you. Possibly even more so depending on if you are trying to be an agent, property manager, or even a salaried position within the brokerage.

4. Finally, ask about the brokerage fees and commission splits. Make sure you understand and are happy with what you are getting in return.
