Help getting started

Matthew Whitney
Posted

I am an unemployed college student with about $20,000 and a 700 credit score. I really want to begin real estate investing but am not sure where to start. I have been learning more about real estate through the bigger pockets podcasts and from online research. I want to start flipping houses with my dad and then once I get good at that buy properties to rent. Do I need more money to start? Will being unemployed not allow me to get a loan? If no how/where do I find a good deal and what are the steps to closing that deal?
