New to REI in Michigan

Hello! My name is Alexandra Hagerman. I’m living in Farmington Hills, MI and I’m 25 years old.

I'm completely new to the world of REI. I've always been interested in real estate but never took the plunge as to actually getting my license or pursue it as a career until now. I'm in school to get my bachelor's in Human Resources and work at my family's business full-time. I don't think I make enough to buy a home at this moment. My savings are not great as I am paying off some remaining student loan debt ($4k) but I'm saving as much as I can between that.

I'm trying to learn as much as I can about REI while pursuing my degree. Is there anyone that can give any advice for me as to what I can do while saving up the funds to buy my first property? Any book and podcast suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has any REI experience in the Southeast Michigan area I'd love to hear from you!

Have a great day and thanks for reading!
