Updates to improve rental property value
Hello Folks ! This is my first post and we bought our first rental property in Everett WA state. I am looking for ideas on what pays the highest returns for upgrades in rental properties. If there are any contractors/ investors in WA state happy to connect.
Could use some help/guidance on what kind of updates we should make in the kitchen and bathroom ?
Thanks
Shilpa

Hi @Shilpa Shah bahin! Welcome to the BP forums and to the investment game that pays you to play!
I find that improvements in paint, kitchens, and bathrooms yield the most bang for my buck. Specifically:
- A fresh coat of paint makes everything cleaner and nicer
- Fresh, Clean kitchen appliances have a "wow" factor
- Stone countertops have a wow factor
- Stylish bathrooms pop
So, as I have opportunity I like add value in these ways.
