How to leverage my 401k
Hey everyone, like the title says how can I leverage my 401k.
For my first property I am wanting to site build a quadplex and try to house back it. (I am hoping to start right Into the niche I’ve chosen for myself, net zero multi family properties, and finding a net zero multi family home has been quite elusive at my rookie stage.)
I am wondering how can I make my money work for me. In six months, when I am fully vested, I expect my 401k to be somewhere around the $30k range. How can I best utilize this money to my advantage.
Last time I checked, I had around a 16% debt to income ratio, and I hope to have saved ~$10-12k for a downpayment, around the same time I become vested. ( I know that’s pretty low, I am potentially looking at fha loan options or other means to get more for a downpayment)
Also, my 401k is netting around 11% per year, and was somewhere around 15% before COVID.
