Advantages of having a realtor license

I have been considering obtaining a realtor license. I am aware I do not need one but I was thinking that having one would give me a certain advantage when it comes to new business opportunities, networking, accessing investment deals first. Have any of you obtaines a realtor license and how did it help you out with RE investing.

Well, 90% of what makes brokers good brokers is networking - All d*** day long.

You can do that without a RE license as a principal.  And you have to if you want to succeed.
