Newbie trying to buy first home

Hi there-

I have been looking to buy in the Portland (Maine) region for the past few months as my boyfriend recently got a new job there.  We realize this is not the best time to buy, but I came across what seems to be a pretty good deal for the area. We're looking to flip- this would be our first investment property. I was curious if anyone could refer a site where I can get the historical property/sale data? Does anyone have any strong opinions on buying during this unprecedented time?

Thanks!

Ellie

@Ellie Ryan A good Maine-based Realtor could help. *ahem*

Seriously, there's really no better source for "sold" data than MLS.

As far as buying now vs later, I'd pull the trigger as fast as possible.  I think when this COVID mess blows over, there will be a deluge of buyers flooding back into the market.  That's only going to increase competition and lead to more bidding wars.
