what age did you start your real estate investment career
Good Morning Bigger Pockets!! Hey just curious what age you were when you started investing in real estate. Little background on me. I'm 59 have a great job in an industry that I'm burned out in. Live 3 hours from friends and family and would love to move back home in a few years. I do own 2 homes now, one is my primary residence and one is my weekend home back in Central Wisconsin. I really want to start investing in rental properties, buy and hold, and am just starting to educate myself in the process. I'll be in a pretty good financial place next year to make the move into the real estate market. But I'm wondering if at 59 I'm entering the field too late. My overall goal is to make about $4000 a month in net rental income minimum. Any advice to an "older" investor just starting out. And looking for some inspirational stories from people who started investing later in life. I'm doing this solo no spouse or partner so any advice and direction would be appreciated.

@Sharlene Burch Woman here :) I'm a 25 year old immigrant from China. Been in the U.S. since I was 16 for high school. My parents didn't come with me, just me. I brought 2 suit cases and 1 big American dream and flew the 13-hour journey here. Learned English, got into a good college here in GA. After graduating, I started a job as a business analyst, and started doing deals on the side using my salary to qualify for deals. After a few deals, I quit my job this March to invest full time and help other investors make money through mobile home park deals. Just closed on a 30-lot park, about to get under contract for another one. 15 tenants, $660k of asset under control so far, and more to come. Going from $0 on me, limited Engliah, to college grad from a top college, and my own private equity firm, I pushed my limits to achieve every day. Persistence is something i can do. I'm glad to see other women on this platform striving for the same. We can do it!!
