Switching from Car Sales to Real Estate

Griffin Gartner
Posted

Hey everybody! I have been lurking on the forums and listening to the podcast for some time now. For a variety of reasons, I've lost my passion for selling cars at the particular dealership I am at and am looking for more. I am interested in wholesaling and rental properties at this time, and I've got about $30,000 in the bank. For those of you with experience investing...if you were a 23 year old considering quitting your day job for real estate, where would you start? For reference, I am living in SE Minnesota and would most likely stick to investing around here until I get my feet wet. Any and all advice is appreciated!

Get started NOW. TODAY. I just turned 30 over the summer. I was kind of sort of thinking about investing in real estate when I was 23, but I waited a few years to take action. I can still remember thinking about it. Don't do that! Get started NOW. If I had taken action at that point, I'd be so much further ahead than I am now.

That said, don't just quit your job before you have something going in real estate. Work on your real estate business every moment you're not selling cars or sleeping. Work on it every day and track your results.
