Real Estate in Germany

Hi!

To start with, I am a complete newbie in the area of real estate. Originally I am coming from Israel, but I have relocated to Germany a year ago.

I am a physician by trade and I will be working full time with the purpose to complete my residency.

In the past few months, I have discovered the area of the real estate for myself and by doing so and searching through the Internet, I have also come across BP podcasts and eventually the website.

I have been doing some reading ( I am a thorough person and I do not tend to jump into things lightly) and my interest is growing exponentially with each passing day, with the understanding that nothing comes easily and everything requires time and efforts, which I am more than willing to invest.

I understand clearly that the real estate market in Germany has its own specifics, especially when it comes to prices, laws, regulations, and taxes and much of the information on BP cannot be applied to the local market. Still, I have decided to give it a shot, because as I have already realized from my own experience, there is nothing to lose by asking, and there is everything to win by raising a question.

So, if any of you have some experience in the real estate market in Germany, or merely some ideas, recommendations (relevant books) or leads regarding from where should  I start my journey, I will be grateful to learn from you.

Thank you so much for creating this platform and for the opportunity to learn from the more experienced investors.

I am really looking forward to reading your tips and suggestions.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Mila,

I am happy to help.

I own some properties in Germany already.

The market might differ strongly depending on which region you are in.

Best, Tanja
