Should I get a lawyer?
Hi. I borrowed some money from someone a couple of years ago for real estate education (big mistake!). I would like to pay them back in full. There was no contract signed between the two of us but I agree that I owe. However, I don't want this person to come back for some reason and say I still owe. I want to have a third party complete the transaction and put in writing that I paid in full and have her sign it since we didn't have anything in writing to begin with. Is this the best way to handle this situation? What do you think?
