Hi everyone! After a few years of settling our life, finances, reading books and listening to BP podcasts everyday going to work we are finally ready to pull the trigger! We plan on investing long distance in one or both areas that I am familiar with, Hattiesburg MS and Mobile AL. I'm hoping/looking to connect with any Agents or wholesalers in these areas to potentially capture any BRRR deals that are not on the mls or craigslist. We are super excited but nervous at the same time of what we don't know that we don't know lol. But ready to take the jump and start learning! We feel very grateful for the BP community and the ability to Network with all of you!

I'm new to REI too. What made you decide to finally start? I want to house hack so I can increase my investing rate to achieve FI.

Hi @Jonathan Gomez! It sounds like you have a great plan by getting started with house hacking. Regarding your question, I took a 4.5 month vacation a few yrs back and after that I realized I was no longer in love with the idea of trading my time for money until my 60's. That couple with now I have a son and want to build a legacy that should he be worthy of it, it will positively impact his family one day too and generations beyond.

@Jonathan Gomez not really this post but I did PM a handful of people in my old home state where I plan on investing and just said hello, who I am and my intentions. And I did get some warm replies in return to that!
