I’m 19 in Nor Cal looking to get started using BRRRR strategy
I have a full time job as a dental assistant making around 35k a year after tax with 0 tuition debt, 0 credit card debt with 740 score (been building credit almost 2 years ) , no car payments, pay a rent ($400) to my parents every month, I save 75% of my checks and have about 25k ready to work. Before my current profession Ive done house remodeling since I was a little kid with my dads company he's had for over 15 years. We have the proper tools, expertise and teams to do any job on a house. So I'm looking for a fixer upper I can BRRRR since I have a slight advantage in the rehab cost. I'm looking in the area of Stockton, Modesto , Manteca (in developing areas as everything else is out of my budget) but have recently considered looking out of state (due to my budget). Looking for recommendations if you were in my shoes, like if I should maybe connect with a wholesaler locally who I can pick up some deals from, I can live with my family for a few more years and want to take advantage that I don't have to live in the unit I purchase so that I can maximize the return but will if I have to using the FHA. I'd love to get all the feedback I can , Ive read books such as rich dad poor dad, richest man in Babylonia, thinks and grow Rich , and currently in love with the podcast it's replaced all my music in the car for a few months now and I feel I'm learning so much but nothing compares to the lessons I could learn from taking action. Thanks again in advance !
