Networking with bigger pockets

So I’m brand new to Bigger Pockets and pretty much brand new with investing. I’ve looked at purchasing a hand full of properties but haven’t been able to seal the deal for one reason or another. I’m an auctioneer now and I feel this would really be a great business to go alongside that, but I’m struggling to get the ball rolling. I’m in the DFW marketplace. Are there any groups that meet? or any way I can network so that I can learn the business? Maybe shadow or just be able to pick up the phone and call someone?
