How do you deal with the doubt?

Hello everyone !

My name is Kenny and I am a newbie investor from New York City. I decided to open up this discussion to hopefully get some insight and feedback on a couple of roadblocks I am currently facing in my life and business.  First let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am 23 years old , recently graduated college, and have been living in New York all my life.  I graduated with a degree in computer science but soon realized how unfulfilling that career is to me. I made a mistake . I began reading about real estate investing when I got my first contract job and became excited on the opportunities and wealth it can provide me and my family. I began reading more books, blogs , watching videos, and even signed up for a couple of real estate events in my community.  I grew to love this new found dream, its amazing!

This is where the issues come into play. I have been trying to network with local investors and even investors online but always seem to get the cold shoulder. I understand a lot of it comes from my lack of experience , lack of capital, and lack of credibility. But it really is hindering my growth as a professional, how do I overcome this?  The investors that I do meet and are eager to talk to me are those trying to sell me some type of educational program that cost a fortune! My friends and family all tell me they have high hopes for me to succeed in real estate, but its been a few months now and I can't get any friction. It can be discouraging at times.  I am not letting up , but I realize I can't do this alone.

How would you approach my situation? How do you know you got what it takes? How do you show people you do? How did you do it?

Thank you !
