NYC market for a newbie...

Hey there! My name is Haley and I’ve been listening to bigger pockets and reading books on real estate for the last 6 months. I’ve saved up a little nest egg and I’d like to invest it. However, I’m located in NYC and the market prices are a little overwhelming in comparison to other parts of the states, like Nashville, where I’m from. Should I go there to invest because my nest egg will reach further, or should I keep networking until I meet people with the big bucks? I don’t want to leave nyc, but really want to do my first deal before the end of the year. I also want to make sure to invest wisely and not bite off more than I can chew. Advice?

NYC is brutal. Keep in mind there are always places where the price tag is not that high. CT is not cheap either... but definitely not as bad as NYC. I personally think doing business there sucks. BUT, if ONE person does it, I don't see why YOU couldn't do it either.

Just be better then them... make sure you are in every possible way and things will fall into place.
