Need help with Incorporation!

Hi all,

I'm a Canadian investor investing in Upstate New York. I'm looking to incorporate sometime within the next week, as my lender only deals with Corporations. Being Canadian, there are different tax implications so the process is not just as simple as incorporating an LLC. I have spoken to a CPA who specializes in cross-border taxes and he recommended incorporating an LP and an LLC, with the LLC owning 1% of the LP to minimize double taxation. He quoted me about $1500 to incorporate both and publish them in media publications (as it's NY) and said it can be done in 2-3 weeks. I'm aware that you ca file for an LLC online for as little as $200, but since my structure is going to be a lot more than just that, I'm considering going with his services.

For any other Canadian investors or anyone who knows more about the topic, is there an easier/more cost efficient way to incorporate? I'd much rather not spend $1500, but at the same time want everything to be set up properly from the beginning and relatively soon. I'm open to any suggestions you may have for me.

Thank you!
