Explain the different contracts for wholesaling

Hello. I’m in the “learning stages” of real estate investing. I want to get into buy & holding and flipping but I want to start with wholesaling. I keep hearing the term “get the house under contract!” WHAT CONTRACT?  There are so many contracts! Can someone elaborate or point me inthe right direction? -Thank you
