Young Architect learning Real Estate

I am an (unlicensed) architect with just about 3 years of professional experience that has just made a huge jump into the world of commercial and multi-unit Real Estate Development by working for a small partnership that is interested in my architectural background. I have always been very interested in learning the commerce side of the built world that I learned how to design/build and now I finally have my chance which is a phenomenal opportunity for someone my age (29).

I'm a very logical and rational thinker and know tons about construction and that end of things but am finding my financial and basic business knowledge is pretty shallow comparatively so I am reaching out for direction to those here about where to start to look for books (etc) on business basics with focus on Real Estate. I am already building financial models and proformas in excel for several 30+ unit projects so I know a little but am still looking for some very solid, base-level knowledge that will strengthen my fiscal foundation.

...other than the "for dummes" books, can anyone recommend other places/sources (aside from BP;)) for good information on such topics? I see real estate as a major player in my future and appreciate any input and advice.

cheers!
