Real Estate Investing while living mobile

Hello everyone,

I am very new to the concept of RE investing and am learning a lot from the podcasts and info on this site.

My wife and I are considering selling our home and buying an RV to travel the US in search of a better place to live. The idea is similar to modern day pioneers looking for an area to build a new home in a better environment than we are currently in.

My question: Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we could incorporate this lifestyle with building a real estate portfolio?  Do you see any advantages to being completely mobile?  Any disadvantages?

I was envisioning searching out inexpensive properties, travelling to them, staying in the area until repairs and renos were complete, selling or renting, then moving on to another property.

Any information or ideas on how we could accomplish this vision would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

John
